Welcome

Easter 2015

On Good Friday there was a good turnout at Biggleswade Baptist Church to follow the cross into the Market Square. The Churches provided Marshalls during the walk giving a good opportunity to show off the new Churches Together reflective jackets. On arrival in the Market Square there was a simple but powerful service led by Reverend Phil Campion. Afterwards Trinity Methodist Church distributed Hot Cross Buns and people lingered to chat.

At 6am on Easter Sunday church members and visitors met at Saxon Gate Swimming Pool Car Park and walked to Jubilee Wood. About 40 people in all with all churches represented. On a lovely morning they celebrated Easter with hymns and Bible Readings as the sun rose, in a service led by Rev Andrew Hollins. It went well and it is intended to make this a regular event each year. For many it was a first chance to see the Jubilee Wood which was recently planted by community volunteers. It includes fruit trees and bushes and it will be exciting to see them grow and bear fruit in the future.
